In 1991, Jacqueline MacNeill opened the very first Escents Aromatherapy store in West Vancouver's Park Royal. It was a small space with a big vision — to bring the healing power of 100% pure essential oils and natural aromatherapy into everyday Canadian life.
At a time when synthetic fragrances dominated the market, Escents was different. Every product was handcrafted in small batches, free from petrochemicals and synthetic fragrance oils. Pure plant medicine, bottled with care.

Over the next three decades, Escents grew — but never lost its roots. The same commitment to clean, natural formulas that Jacqueline started with in 1991 is still the foundation of every product made today, handcrafted fresh in small batches in Richmond, BC.
